Jerry Rabinowitz has been a commercial photographer for almost 30 years, and specializes in architecture and architectural based themes. His clients include national and regional magazines, corporate and advertising clientele. Jerry was a large format photographer for many years, but Jerry’s workflow has since become 100% digital. Jerry was president of ASMP (American Society of Media Photographers) in New Mexico, and lectured for Fujifilm. He now teaches lighting at Palm Beach Photographic Centre.

As a photographer, I always wonder why I shoot what I do, says Jerry. At the meeting Jerry will explore the process involved in image creation. Jerry states that “in the digital world megapixels, algorithms and workflow seem to rule”, and ask “Does the technical dominate or is the image the destination?” Jerry will also discuss architectural photography, as well as a look at the decision process in photography.

Jerry has been working on a few personal projects and will be showing us those images and telling us the stories behind them. Jerry will be taking questions and discuaaing the ups and downs of being a working professional photographer.

This presentation is free for South Florida Camera Club paid members. If you’re not a paid club member, this presentation will be $40.00. If you choose to join South Florida Camera Club within thirty days, you may use the $40.00 towards your membership. If you’d like to join SFCC now go here: “Join Now”
